Challenger Anorak

I’m 5’9” about 165 lbs and I ordered a large. The fit is good for me there’s room for some layers underneath. I like a lot of room to move and am happy in oversized clothing. If had a little more room without the sleeves being longer I would not be disappointed. I have only worn the coat in a light rain so can’t report on its waterproofing. I was disappointed to see two vent holes in each armpit particularly since I bought it to replace a rain coat that leaks at the armpits. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised and the vent holes won’t be a problem. The last thing I would do if I were designing a raincoat is put holes in it. There is nothing about the material of the coat that says rugged workwear to me. It is more like a light weight pack- able layer which I didn’t expect. It can certainly be something I’ll use but not exactly what I was expecting. There is also a small zipper pocket that looks like it will hold water and direct it towards the zipper if the zipper was ever inclined to leak

4 stars until I fully test it in a downpour. Seams seem of good quality. Very generous sized. My one concern is the vents are just like an eyelet hole and could possibly get rain in if doing work over your head in the rain. A seam sealed zipper would be better. Overall for the price I paid on sale I think it’s a great buy.
