I'm 6'2 with 37" sleeves and I just bought the Laredo, size XLT and it fits me like a glove. I bought it for my mild temperature work jacket. I also have Cheyenne for the winter use. If you need these coats for work or just a good causal coat for the average JOE guy, I feel you can't go wrong with the Dri Duck coats.
I purchased a Laredo. Liked it so much I added a Cheyenne, then a Maverick. All are perfect, very comfortable, and extremely well made. Reminds me of how LL Bean and Woolrich jackets were built 30 years ago.
I had a Bullhead jacket years ago that was very similar, but with a thicker inner layer and zippered interior pocket, and have been looking for something that would replace it. I hate elastic wristbands, and this was one of the few work-type tough knit jackets I could find that didn't have them. There were no surprises when the jacket showed up, it was sized well and looked exactly as shown. I'm 5'10", 175lbs, and I got the large so I can layer under it. A medium would be a perfect fit by itself, but I typically layer for colder environments. The material seems sturdy, the lining is not very thick, and the pockets are not lined. I would prefer something just like this design with warmer lining, lined pockets, and it would pretty much fit the bill. As is, it makes a superb outer layer for outdoor work, provided you layer accordingly underneath. Very satisfied with my purchase and will definitely try some of their other gear!
I wanted something a bit lighter in weight than the Cheyenne (that I like so much) and struck gold with the Laredo. It's a great fit and having a hood makes it the perfect choice for the fall weather here in the Pacific Northwest.
As one ( at least other ) person stated: I wish there were more inside pockets, or at least a second on the left breast. Also, material too heavy for me....... BUT, well made. The free cap was appreciated and well made too !
I am 6"1" and 175 lbs and the Large fits me very well - sleeves and jacket are just the right length. It is not heavily insulated, but it keeps me warm in the 30s and 40s. Layered it with a fleece pullover and it was even warmer. I like that the hood is large and comfortably covers my size 8 head. Have not had jacket for long, but it looks and feels very well made and rugged. Jacket also has a heavy feel to it, which I like, probably due to the thickness of the canvas. I would recommend this jacket.
Jacket fits me nicely. I'm 6'8" with a 37" sleeve length. Arms are long enough for me and covers my bottom. Fits nicely in the shoulders. I'm skinny so the stomach area is a little billowy. Wish the jacket had a sting to take up the middle for a snug fit or straps and snaps to adjust for a tighter fit. I'm also used to upper inner pockets. This jacket has one outer pocket which is nice smartphone or wallet size and one inner pocket sewn to the left outside pocket.
These jackets came in and were in time for our Christmas party. We were very happy with the quality and fit of all 10 that we ordered (in various sizes). Thanks for a quality product.
