Wind-blocking, water-repelling, heat-trapping and hard-wearing, the GrizzlyTec™ Kodiak is downright ferocious. The warmest jacket in our line, this beast is built to beat whatever it meets.
Go back in time, modern technology just doesn't work. The first time I wore it out it was windy so I sinched up the hood, had these bungie cords hanging out in my face, went out the door hood blew off twice before I got to the barn. Sorry I just don't understand. Galen Ow and those bungie cords always break.
A bit stiff but I think over time it will loosen up. Very warm and well made.
I have been wearing the C brand jacket for years. They were good but they always collected a ton of dog hair and fuzz and never looked good. I read about Dri-Duck and checked out the Kodiak jacket. I loved the style and the reviews seemed good. I took a chance and placed my first order. I ordered the Jacket in Saddle. It arrived a few days later. I have worn it for a few weeks and I do love it. It is well made and seems very durable, even more so than my C company costs and jackets. The best thing is No more dog hair or fuzz. If you are looking for good quality clothing at a great price I would say go with Dri-Duck. I’m glad I did. The Kodiak gets an A+. Will definitely order more clothes from them in the future.
This was my first time ordering and was feeling a little sketchy not being able to see and try on the Kodiak for size. Received it today along with the Woodland pullover and I’m very happy with the choice I made. I’m 5’8” about 165-170 and the large fit me fine. Layering it over the Woodland nicely, no bulk. Winter cannot come back around fast enough for me to use it but I’m looking forward to it. Thank you
I was fully prepared to return this coat before it even showed up. Being a big guy at 6’1” and 350 lbs, rarely do I shop for clothes online and get stuff that fits. I was excited and nervous when the coat arrived but I’m happy to say my fears were unfounded! This coat is fantastic. I got the 4XL and it fits perfectly WITH room to throw a sweatshirt on underneath if needed but so far, it hasn’t been. This coat is surprisingly warm for how thin it is. You can tell it’s durable by the quality look and feel. It is definitely not stiff. Every time I’ve worn it so far it moves well and isn’t too bulky when I’m driving. If I had one complaint, it would be that the hood pulls are hot garbage. They’re thin and hard to manage, especially with gloves. You have to use two hands on each side to tighten them and even then it takes awhile. That’s a pain in the butt. Really though, that’s a minor complaint for an otherwise perfect coat! My only regret is that I waited too long to replace my old coat and now it’s almost spring… I will definitely be buying more Dri-Duck gear in the future.
I had a Dri=Duk coat that I bought in 2003. It was heavy but lasted a long time. This coat started to get holes and was no longer functionable. I was looking around for another coat and then I just tried looking up Dri-Duk on the internet. I found this coat and it looked like it wouldmeet my needs. When I received it it was way different that what I thought I was purchasing. It was light weight and felt thin. I was skeptical about the performance to keep me warm. When I first used the coat I did not layer up in 20 degree weather. The coat did what it said it would do. It sheilded me fromthe wind it kept my body heat. It was light weight and I can easily move my arms and not feel like I am lifting a car. Uf you are looking for a coat PLEASE try this coat. Ot is the best coat that I ever bought and you will not be disapointed.
Just got this jacket today, UNFORTUNATELY weather is only 57 outside so not able to give the excellent review I wanted...But I will leave with this I get cold fast, so today put on jacket to take out trash to front drive and noticed immediately I need to open the jacket up because it's was already cresting warmth. So my next review will be more in depth so keep a look out for my update review.
I had both a Carhartt J133 and a J140. The Dri Duck Kodiak is better in every way. The pockets are deep and practical so you can actually use them. It’s comparatively light, yet keeps you just as warm. It’s not stiff and it does not attract and retain animal hair, fuzz, and other debris. Overall, this is probably the best jacket I’ve ever owned.
So comfortable and warm, I live in North Dakota and if there ever was a place to test cold weather stuff it's here. This thing held up in heavy winds and -15° weather. Also insanely comfortable.
