Way warmer than expected for being thin.
I’m a utility worker on the coast. This layered over a my crossfire has been incredible. Dry and cuts the wind. Wish I had a bigger size because like I said to me it makes a better outer layer than a stand alone for New England weather. Decent on its own for a 40-50 day I bet. But wish I had the money to try a rubicon or a chore coat over my crossfire. The “puff” is not noticeable after a few wears if the textured look bothers you. I have the black and grey and it’s a great coat. Only thing is the layer of nylon behind the zipper has gotten stuck in it a few times I just don’t unzip it super fast. I wear a C brand XL and got this XL and wish I sized up to wear over hoody. Performance fit for sure.
