First Impression
This is first impression only after receiving the Kodiak. 5’11 160lb, often between sizes M-L. Fit is great thru the torso and arms, sleeves long enough, room for layering, definitely a relaxed fit. Fabric is comfortable not stiff. Seems durable, time will tell. Problem is the collar. It is a bit snug around bottom of neck. It is a fairly low collar for a winter storm jacket. I expected a bit higher collar to protect chin from weather but this hits below the chin leaving exposed. So considering whether to keep or return.

Great for Alaskan Winters
I'm 6' 0" 175lbs and wear a Large. It's quite big on me, but it's the perfect outer layer for winter here in Alaska. It's not warm enough on it's own, but it is waterproof and can fit 2-5 layers underneath. I've used it down to -20F with proper layering.
If you don't need it as a winter coat, I would recommend a Medium with my dimensions. I have a Cheyenne in medium and it is a much better fit without multiple layers.
