    Maverick Jacket

Posted by Catherine I Meyers on Dec 7th 2020

I have an older womens Dri Duck Canvas Jacket. It is my most favorite for wearing around the farm. Its a heavy duty nice looking jacket. So when I wanted to find a Canvas Jacket for my husband I looked at the Dri Duck Maverick. I did not ask him if he wanted one. So when it came in the mail I took it straight into his shop where he was working and cut the bag open and we both looked at it and he stopped what he was doing and pulled the tag off and put it on! He has been wearing it ever since. He is 6'3" and about 190lbs and the fit was perfect. Sits just below the waist. He has broad shoulders and It fit great even through the arms and length. Its a rugged made jacket and will last a long time. Too bad you don't make these for women anymore!!

    Maverick Jacket

Great Jacket and price. I was unsure of size, I am 5'10" and about 215lbs....I was 250 but lost weight and some belly. I typically had been buying XL jackets and shirts. I wear a 16 1/2 or 17" neck shirt and 34" sleeve. I got the XL, but was a little too big for me in sleeves and girth of jacket. I then ordered the large to try that before deciding on what to keep. The L was the right fit for my frame so the measurements posted are realistic, don't rely on other clothing you may have purchased. I was afraid to get the L originally because anytime I bought a L pant, or shirt or coat, they were too tight or short in sleeve. Again, I'm 5'10", 215lbs, 38 waist pant and 45/46 chest and wear a 34" sleeve in shirts. The Large fits right. Great service and put the XL in the mail to return using the return slip and UPS tag it came with. Give it a try!!

My Go To Outdoor Work Jacket

Posted by Keith Dooley on Nov 16th 2020

6'2" 175lbs 33 waist. 16 1/2 neck 35 sleeve length. 42 Reg suit jacket. After reading reviews I decided to buy a large because of sleeve length. The sleeves are perfect length. A little about the fit.... the large is made for thicker body types. I am tall/slim. If the sleeves and the waist didn't have the extra buttons/adjustable tabs the sleeves and waist would be too large. The length of the jacket is good. It is a couple of inches below my belt line. Now about the quality... it is excellent! The Boulder cloth canvas shell is very tough but soft for how durable it is. It will stand up to many years of hard use. The interior is very soft and the zipper is heavy duty. I can't rate the interior pockets because I won't use them as this is a work jacket and will not have anything in my inside pockets. There is one large and one small pocket on the inside lower left accessible from the top and one large on the lower right accessible from the front with velcro closure. It fits well with a sweatshirt underneath but will probably be too hot with the sweatshirt in cold temps below freezing cutting and hauling wood/manual labor. Overall I am extremely happy with the jacket! The reason for 4 stars is because I would love to have bought a Medium Tall but that size is not offered. If I ever need another great quality work coat or jacket I will look at Dri Duck first. The quality for the price is unbeatable.

509 and 170. M fits great. Looks pre washed. Warm with just a T shirt with windchills in the teens. Great do all jacket. Nice to have something without a hood. Can still wear a sweatshirt comfortably underneath.

A nice jacket with bad inside pockets.

Posted by Geezer on Oct 21st 2020

I'm 6' 200lbs. I got a large in the Charcoal color about a month ago. Good fit with room for layers. I really like the style of this jacket. The stitching is great. I like the material that this jacket is made of. Seems tough. Heavy duty. There is definitely a sense of feeling protected when you wear a jacket like this. Protected from the weather. Protected from a nail that might be sticking out . Protected if you want to bust your way through some brush. Whatever. It's a good feeling to wear this jacket. I really do like it.....BUT ! The inside pockets are an absolute catastrophe. The positioning, The size and the style of these inside pockets is absolutely unacceptable. For some strange reason the good people at DRI DUCK have decided to locate these pockets way down low inside the jacket. And I mean Way Down Low. The bottom of these inside pockets are actually down at the waist of the jacket. In order to access these inside pockets the jacket must be unzipped most of the way down. REALLY DRI DUCK ? Why ? There is a good reason that no other company situates the inside pockets like this. BECAUSE IT'S A TERABLE IDEA !!! Think about it. Who wants to unzip their jacket most of the way to get to their stuff ? Like their cell phone for just one example. Oh yeah. The cell phone pocket. The phone pocket that is too small to hold a phone securely. That's right. I have a small smart phone. Only 5.5'' tall when standing up in the pocket. The pocket can not be snapped shut with my small phone inside. Not big enough. Not suitable for most phones. WTF ? Why even bother ? This phone pocket is scabbed over top of a jumbo sized pocket that has no way to be closed. No zipper. No Velcro. No snap. Then there is the screwy inside pocket situation on the other side of the jacket. Way Down Low. This pocket is clearly and unmistakably an attempt at trying to be a bit too creative. If you want to lose your stuff then it will be just perfect for you. I must also mention that the snaps on the cuffs seem a bit weak imo. What a shame. A great jacket with a tragic inside pocket situation. Please get it sorted out DRI DUCK. You could easily climb to the top of the hill and slug it out with the king. (We all know who that is. ) Just a few more steps and you are there.

    Maverick jacket

Got my jacket today. I'm 5'8" 180 lbs with a bit of a belly, I got a medium, fits great. I was worried because sometimes a medium is a bit snug, not this jacket, perfect! Tobacco color is great and the jacket looks great! Soft out of the box. I'll be wearing it if a few days because the temperature is being to drop here in Upstate NY.

Comfortable, warm work coat, durable. I've worn one for four winters and it's kept me going through many dirty jobs. Just now starting to show wear on the cuffs. I've bought several as gifts for friends, as well.

Best canvas jacket I have ever purchased

Posted by JB on Sep 13th 2020

From the snap adjustable cuffs, button adjustable waist, to the inside pockets this jacket is a must purchase! I have owned other casual/work canvas jackets that take a few years to "soften up" but this one comes ready to comfortably wear. The light liner will make this a easy choice to layer up this winter.
