NOT Disappointed!
Took a gamble and ordered the Maverick and Cheyenne both in 2XL and Tobacco. I had been contemplating which one to get for a couple weeks. I really wanted the look of the flannel lining the Maverick has but also wanted the features of the Cheyenne such as the hood and the elastic (spandex) cuffs. I ended up purchasing the Cheyenne on Amazon due to a little cheaper price and free shipping since I’m a Prime member. After a week of waiting I received a refund. I’m assuming the seller’s inventory was incorrect and didn’t have the item. Anyway, I REALLY wanted this jacket! So, I came here to the DRI-DUCK website and guess what, they had a Fall sale! I ended up with both jackets, a free hat, and free shipping! I fall in between a XL and 2XL so for me it’s hit or miss on fit. I would say both run true in size but the Cheyenne is a bit closer to the fit I wanted partially because of the elastic (spandex) wrist cuffs and waist band. Both are high quality jackets but have different features. If you want a hood, the Cheyenne is the way to go. Now that I have both, overall I prefer the Maverick because it is a little lighter in weight (because it doesn’t have a hood) and I love the flannel lining. Either way, you won’t be disappointed. I took the time to write this review because I had a hard time choosing between the two and depended on other’s reviews. Also, because DRI-DUCK customer service was awesome. I had a glitch on the shipping method selection while bouncing from checkout back…

Better than its competitors.
I’ve purchased a duck jacket from Carhartt and was really disappointed. For one, it didn’t give me the warmth I needed. The Cheyenne met my expectations. This is the warmest duck jacket I’ve owned by far. And that comes from someone who works on a ranch. The best part I like from this jacket is that it stops that freezing wind from sucking all your heat out. The worst part of winter, in my experience.
